3Pikas was retained to build and design an immersive interpretive guide, with interactive maps, and content management system (CMS) that’s built around GPS-triggered content and media (photos, audio, video and text) and create an initial design for an app. People care about places. Whether it's the great outdoors, their own backyard or where they bike, spaces matter. To tap into this area of concern we've created profile pages where you can see all the key data and information. The project involved the following phases:
1) Research and Discovery – We conducted a market feasibility plan to validate our proposition, identify user needs, features and functional requirements and explored monetization options. Using this information, we created an initial design for the mobile app and landing page (for the CMS) and tested our ideas on key stakeholders for feedback and advice.
2) Wireframe and Design – We developed the wireframe and visual architecture of the site and determined how the different content types and themes will interact with data and various stakeholders.
3) Online Data API & App Design – We created an initial online data API and prototype for the app.
